About Ourunse

Ourunse (아워운세) is a Korean fortune site made in Seoul. The name joins the English word “our” with unse, the Korean word for fortune: readings you look at together with your family. We started in Korean, and this English edition brings the same readings to people who are new to Korean astrology.

What you can read here

• Your Korean birth chart (Saju): your four pillars, nature, five elements and 10-year luck cycles, free.
• Find your Korean zodiac animal, by sign or by birthday.
• The 2027 forecast for all 12 animals: money, work, love and health.

Also: a daily fortune, the 60 day pillars, zodiac and birthday compatibility, daily tarot, the 2027 horoscope for all 12 signs and Korean dream meanings.

How the readings are made

• Your zodiac animal comes from your birth-year pillar, which changes at Ipchun, the first day of spring (around February 4), as in traditional Korean Saju.
• Each forecast follows traditional rules about how the 12 animals and the five elements relate: natural pairs, trios of allies, clashes and so on.
• Every forecast has a “Why do we read it this way?” note that shows which relationship it comes from.
• The English texts are written for English readers, not machine-translated from Korean.

How we write and check our readings

• We set the rules first. Which combinations count as supportive or challenging follows a written set of interpretation rules based on the classical Korean Ja-pyeong school, so the same chart always gets the same reading.
• Then we write the text case by case. Pages that share a format, like the 12 zodiac forecasts or the dream meanings, each get their own wording.
• The current texts are drafts awaiting review by a professional Saju practitioner. When the review is done, we will say so here and update the texts.
• Our calculations run through automated tests on every update, including solar terms, daylight saving time and longitude correction.
• If you spot a mistake or an awkward sentence, please email us. We fix confirmed errors quickly.

Please keep in mind

Korean astrology is a tradition for reflection, not a prediction you have to follow. Use a good reading for encouragement and a cautious one as a reminder to take care. For medical, legal or financial decisions, please talk to a qualified professional.
