The Earth Pig day pillar
a rich field soaked with water
What is an Earth Pig like?
Gentle and thrifty, this person has a natural gift for building savings. They get along with almost everyone, from coworkers to in-laws to the mail carrier. Their quiet wisdom shows in small choices, like cooking a big pot of soup on Sunday that feeds the household all week.
What 己亥 is made of
An Earth Pig day pillar means the pillar of your birth day is 己亥 (gi-hae). In 己亥, the top character 己 (Yin Earth) is your day master, and the bottom character 亥, the Pig, sits in the spouse seat with Water energy. The main energy hidden in that spouse seat is "Direct Wealth" for this day master, and the day master's strength there is the "Conception" stage of the 12 life stages (ideas taking shape). How day pillars are read

The Earth Pig at their best
Sitting around a crowded dinner table with relatives, quietly making sure every guest has seconds and goes home with leftovers.
Speak up for your own wishes in group plans, since keeping the peace should never mean disappearing.
Earth Pig in love and marriage
Wealth energy in their spouse seat points to a warm, family-minded and steady married life at home. Planning household money side by side with a partner, as a team, tends to make that blessing grow even larger.
Why?
The Earth Pig's spouse seat is 亥, the Pig. Its main hidden energy, 壬, counts as "Direct Wealth" (steady income and saving) for a Yin Earth day master.
How the Earth Pig works
Earth Pigs prefer to build things step by step rather than rush. The Direct Wealth in their spouse seat stands for what is earned through steady effort, and their Conception stage nurtures small ideas until they are ready, so they excel at carrying something from seed to harvest. Long-term client relationships, running a club or community group, or shepherding a new product all the way to launch suit them.
The Earth Pig in 2027
For the Earth Pig, this year often turns solo efforts into group efforts. The Pig joins the Goat in the Pig-Rabbit-Goat Triple Harmony, a three-member team, and because the bond forms in the spouse seat, shared goals with family or joining a new circle are common themes. The wood this team builds means order and responsibility for Yin Earth, so an added role is likely. An Indirect Resource stem also draws them toward unfamiliar subjects. Sign up for the class or group you have only been thinking about.
Why?
In the Fire Goat year (丁未), the heavenly stem 丁 is Fire, which is "Indirect Resource" (intuition and unusual learning) for the Earth Pig's Yin Earth day master. Its earthly branch 未, the Goat, and the spouse seat 亥, the Pig, form part of a three harmony (three animals that work as a team).
