The Metal Snake day pillar
a jewel sparkling in the lamplight
What is a Metal Snake like?
Grace and good manners give the Metal Snake a polished public image. They have strong pride and stick to careful self-care routines, so their desk, closet, and calendar all tend to look neat. Wherever they go, they leave an impression of order and poise.
What 辛巳 is made of
A Metal Snake day pillar means the pillar of your birth day is 辛巳 (sin-sa). In 辛巳, the top character 辛 (Yin Metal) is your day master, and the bottom character 巳, the Snake, sits in the spouse seat with Fire energy. The main energy hidden in that spouse seat is "Direct Officer" for this day master, and the day master's strength there is the "Death" stage of the 12 life stages (a still, thoughtful energy). The Metal Snake at their best
On their best days, they walk into a new place calm and well prepared, and others instantly feel they are in good hands.
Let one trusted person see you on an off day, since true closeness does not need a perfect shine.
Metal Snake in love and marriage
With an upright energy in the spouse seat, they want a partner who matches their standards and style. Since they care about appearances, it is important to build a bond where they can share their real feelings with ease.
Why?
The Metal Snake's spouse seat is 巳, the Snake. Its main hidden energy, 丙, counts as "Direct Officer" (order, duty and recognition) for a Yin Metal day master.
How the Metal Snake works
Standing before an audience brings out the Metal Snake's worth. Clear rules and formal settings feel comfortable rather than stiff, and they like to prepare calmly and then move precisely, much like a gem that needs light to sparkle. External relations or protocol roles at an institution, leading a client desk where trust matters, and communications work polishing official statements and presentations suit them.
The Metal Snake in 2027
Fire gathers from two directions. Up top sits Seven Killings, the year's Yin Fire acting on Yin Metal as sudden responsibility and tests. Below, the Snake and the Goat belong to the same season and form a seasonal group that builds summer fire. The lamplight that makes this gem sparkle gets hotter, so attention and pressure tend to grow together. Saying yes to every request piles up heat faster than shine. Mark one day a month on the calendar that holds no meetings or obligations at all.
Why?
In the Fire Goat year (丁未), the heavenly stem 丁 is Fire, which is "Seven Killings" (pressure and challenge) for the Metal Snake's Yin Metal day master. Its earthly branch 未, the Goat, and the spouse seat 巳, the Snake, form a seasonal group (animals of the same season that add to its element).
