The Metal Rooster day pillar
pure gold, finely shaped and polished
What is a Metal Rooster like?
Sharp, neat and proud, the Metal Rooster holds high standards for themselves. Their work is usually polished and complete, down to the last detail. They still need to be kinder to themselves, since they may redo a perfectly fine spreadsheet three times before calling it done.
What 辛酉 is made of
A Metal Rooster day pillar means the pillar of your birth day is 辛酉 (sin-yu). In 辛酉, the top character 辛 (Yin Metal) is your day master, and the bottom character 酉, the Rooster, sits in the spouse seat with Metal energy. The main energy hidden in that spouse seat is "Friend" for this day master, and the day master's strength there is the "Prime" stage of the 12 life stages (solid, self-reliant strength). How day pillars are read
Metal Rooster strengths and watch-outs
Strengths
- Holds their standard whatever others say
- Uses skilled peers as a mirror
- Takes a skill to a very high level
Watch out for
- Struggles with hands that work differently
- Turns sharp-tongued around rivals
The Metal Rooster at their best
A Metal Rooster in top form delivers a flawless final product, the kind of work that becomes the example everyone else follows.
Celebrating progress, even when a result falls short of perfect, can turn their high standards into a source of joy.
Metal Rooster in love and marriage
They tend to expect a great deal from a spouse, from manners to tidiness. Thinking of marriage as two people filling in each other's gaps can make their heart feel much lighter and more forgiving.
Why?
The Metal Rooster's spouse seat is 酉, the Rooster. Its main hidden energy, 辛, counts as "Friend" (peers and self-reliance) for a Yin Metal day master.
How the Metal Rooster works
Give a Metal Rooster a result with their name on it and their focus locks in. They prefer tasks they can own from start to finish over a pace someone else dictates, and collaboration feels easy when roles are clear. Final proofreading of manuscripts or translations, metal or jewelry craft, and a lead role defining a team's quality guidelines suit them.
The Metal Rooster in 2027
Seven Killings sits in the year stem, a strong flame that tests even polished gold, so outside evaluations and challenges tend to gather around the Metal Rooster. Down below it is calm: Rooster and Goat neither combine nor clash. Earth does give birth to metal, but this is parched earth, so the picture is gold resting on the ground rather than any dramatic event. Handle the outside pressure well and little else should shake you. Go through a written list of your work standards with a colleague and find where you disagree.
Why?
In the Fire Goat year (丁未), the heavenly stem 丁 is Fire, which is "Seven Killings" (pressure and challenge) for the Metal Rooster's Yin Metal day master. Its earthly branch 未, the Goat, has no special harmony or clash with the spouse seat 酉, the Rooster.
